To get the angle I wanted for this photograph I had to get down as low as possible to the breaking wave. I scampered down the rocks, perched on a platform and was happy with the location. It wasn’t a spot I could get to if the swell was any larger or the tide anything but dead low. The colours in the water were amazing, all front lit by a beautiful sunset, so I stayed until the light vanished for the day.
