Cabbage Tree Bay (better known as The Bower or Shelly Beach) forms part of a Sydney coastal marine sanctuary that aims to protect the marine ecosystems of this coastline. The top of this photograph, where the water deepens from the rock shelf, forms part of an underwater sea wall that hosts some of the best snorkeling in the area. It is so nice to see the water so clear. Given Sydney is a city of over five million people, it really is amazing to see how well looked after some parts of our coastline are.
