South Coast Stingray

Near the boat ramp at Bendalong Beach on the south coast of NSW the fishermen clean their catch and discard the scraps. Occasionally a few stingrays come in and feed on the discarded fish. Using an in-water camera setup I was able to get pretty close to this particular Stingray as he swam passed.

 

The curve in the water is partly due to the ‘fisheye’ lens I was using and partly due to a small wave pushing passed.
