Light shining through water is one of the things that captivates me as a photographer. It adds an element to a photograph that simply can’t be created any other way. The conditions give such a dramatic effect. Over the years I have spent hundreds of hours freediving and photographing trying to capture light like this. When you get clear enough water to get some depth to the image, yet still enough particle to allow for some light reflection, little to no wind and the sun at the right angle, it all seems to come together in a serene underwater effect.
